I want to create art that inspires change and the best way to create change is to start with your own community.

Tourette Syndrome Advocacy

In 2020, I was selected to become a youth ambassador for the Tourette Association of America. Throughout this program I attended a 3-day training in Virginia where I practiced public speaking skills for community and school presentations as well as collaborating with peers within the Tourette Syndrome community.

I have attended multiple Advocacy Days on Capitol Hill where I met with Congressmen and Senators to advocate for funds to further Tourette Syndrome research.

I have also created videos to share to help generate a social media campaign to spread awareness for Tourette Syndrome in my community.

My junior thesis documentary, Beneath the Teal Tree Branch, explores my experiences growing up a girl with Tourette Syndrome, and I hope to use it to spread awareness and to show other kids with Tourette Syndrome that they are not alone.

Voter Education & Advocacy

Last fall I completed LEAD California's Youth Voice-Youth Vote program throughout a 4 month Fellowship through the Center for Service and Action at LMU. Throughout this program I promoted voter registration and education on my campus resulting in 200+ students registering to vote. I also compiled a plan of action for the Center for Service and Action to use during voting season.
